What began as a simple hobby quickly became a lifelong passion that consumed my time and creativity. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I discovered the art of upcycling and altering clothing—an experience that solidified my desire to pursue a career in fashion. Shortly after, I landed my first job in alterations, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience working directly with the head seamstress. Over time, I was promoted to manager, taking on leadership responsibilities and helping to run the business—all while balancing the demands of high school as a 17-year-old.
Driven by my desire to deepen my knowledge and refine my craft, I chose to attend Kent State University to study Fashion Design. My time at Kent State has provided me with countless opportunities to engage with the fashion industry both inside and outside the classroom. I’ve participated in campus fashion organizations, and am currently studying abroad in Florence, Italy—immersing myself in one of the world’s fashion capitals.
Though I’ve already learned so much, I know this is only the beginning of my journey. I’m eager to continue growing, exploring, and shaping my place in the ever-evolving world of fashion. Check out my porfolio down below!
